The Clallam County League of Women Voters will sponsor its first event for the general election season on Aug. 17.
Sequim’s Shipley Center, 921 Hammond St., will host a debate from 1:30-3:30 p.m., between 24th District State Rep. incumbent Steve Tharinger (D-Dungeness) and Republican challenger Thomas Greisamer.
In addition, all candidates for the County Charter Review Commission-District 1 have been invited to introduce themselves and say a few words.
Candidates for Districts 2 and 3 will be invited to attend events in September and October. There also will be fliers explaining what the Charter Review Commission does and an opportunity to speak individually with candidates.
A complete list of League events will be available by Sept. 1.
