Businesses invited to join job fair
Local businesses are invited to participate in a job fair, sponsored by The Home Depot, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. There is no fee. RSVP to Sara King, 582-1620 or 206-790-3638, by Feb. 28.
Youth workshops set at Home Depot
The Home Depot, at 1145 W. Washington St., hosts free how-to youth workshops from 9 a.m.-noon the first Saturday of each month. The workshops are designed for children ages 5-12.
On March 2, Sequim’s branch hosts a how-to-build-and-paint a model race car. Call 582-1620.
Websites update language service
Marybel Marks’ language center, Translation Marks, now offers a new website and an educational tour of Costa Rica for youths 13-20. The site www.bilinguafranca.com gives language class descriptions along with fees and schedules. Click “useful links” to practice French and Spanish for free. Marks will teach beginning Spanish classes at Peninsula College this spring as well.
The original website, www.translationmarks.com, describes certified translation services and interpretation services in Spanish, French and English.

Kuh joins Craft3
Business lender Brian Kuh has joined the lending team of Craft3 (formerly Enterprise Cascadia), a nonprofit community development financial institution which provides loans and assistance to nonprofits and individuals who don’t normally have access to financing. Nutritionist to speak at Nash’s
Culinary nutritionist and registered dietitian Dr. Monica Dixon presents “Change Your Diet, Change Your Life” at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness.
The free program covers research that the single most important lifestyle factor for good health over the long term is selection of food on a daily basis. Dixon covers the top 10 best foods that current science recommends for health and how to sort fact from fiction about food and health.
