The Olympic Peninsula Wineries’ Northwest Wine & Cheese Tour is slated for May 3-4.
Nine wineries located between Chimacum and Port Angeles will partner with local cheesemakers to create unique pairings that signify the flavors of the region, complemented by tasty tidbits prepared by local culinary talent. The event is 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday-Sunday. Wine specials will be available throughout the weekend.
Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Sequim, will be part of the tour. The winery will pair its new released Rosato (a dry rosé) and BellBottom White, a blend of Muscat and Pinot Grigio, plus its series Italian-style red wines with a selection of sheep cheeses from Black Sheep Creamery of Chehalis. Additional wines will be available for tasting.
The venue also features live music at 7 p.m. on Saturday featuring Sarah Shea and Chez Jazz.
