A bullish Bulldog attack and poor weather conditions spelled doom for a Sequim squad seeking their first win in their final game of 2013.

Foster quarterback Zane Jacobson passed for a touchdown and ran for another, both in the first quarter, leading the Bulldogs to a 27-13 non-league win on Nov. 7 in Tukwila.

Sequim’s Miguel Moroles led the Wolves with 100 yards rushing, but wind gusts held him and backup QB Dylan Lott to just five completions in 20 attempts and 72 yards.

Foster (3-7) took a lead halfway through the opening quarter when Jacobson found Patrick Saau from 15 yards out for a score. Three minutes later, following a short Sequim punt, Jacobson took it in himself for a 13-0 Foster lead.

The Wolves (0-10) closed the gap with a 17-play, 87-yard drive capped by Arnold Black’s one-yard plunge, trimming the Foster lead to 13-7. Black finished with 61 yards on 15 carries.

Sequim looked to have the momentum early in the third quarter but fumbled a handoff at the Foster 2-yard-line. After forcing a Foster punt, Sequim saw its second drive of the half stymied when Foster intercepted a Moroles pass.

Bulldog Sele Eneliko made it 20-7 Foster after taking a handoff 49 yards through the Sequim defense.

Sequim again closed the gap, as Moroles found Ian Dennis on a screen for 21 yards and pay dirt. A blocked point-after left the score 20-13, Foster.

The Bulldogs got the game’s final score when Alvin Noa scampered in from 11 yards out.

Adam Knapman, playing his final game for the Wolves, had 16 carries for 60 yards.

Sequim completed its first winless campaign since 2000.
