Trina Sampson – Sampson, 39, of Sequim, was charged Oct. 28 with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance. On Aug. 19, a Sequim Police informant told officers Sampson had been selling cocaine and prescription pills, according to court reports. The officers used the informant to make an organized and monitored purchase of 10 Oxycodone pills, three Hydromorphone pills and an eighth of an ounce of a white powder, which did not test positive for cocaine and was determined to be baking soda.
Celinde Cline – Cline, 20, of Sequim, was charged Oct. 27 with theft in the second degree. On Oct. 25, two officers arrived at JC Penney on a report of an employee theft. The alleged theft included $651 in cash. Cline reportedly admitted to the crime.
Matthew Gallwey – Gallwey, 20, of Everett, was charged Oct. 27 with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of 40 grams or less of marijuana. On Oct. 22, Sequim Police responded to a threat complaint at the Safeway parking lot in Sequim. An officer contacted the victim and took a statement, which indicated a man named Matt had taken a handgun from his vehicle and harassed the victim regarding a previous incident.
Another officer had been canvassing the area for the suspect vehicle and found Gallwey, who denied that he’d threatened the other man that evening with a handgun. Gallwey allowed the officer to search his vehicle, but did not let the officer check the locked glove box. The officer arrested Gallwey and applied for a search warrant for the vehicle. The officer found a small plastic bag of pills that contained 73.5 Oxycodone pills and another baggie with the residue of marijuana in it. No firearm was found inside the vehicle
Charles Hoffman – Hoffman, 59, of Sequim, was sentenced Oct. 30 to 90 days of confinement and $1,700 in fines for the charge of attempted assault in the third degree, a gross misdemeanor. The judge converted 30 days of confinement into 240 hours of community service. On Sept. 16, Sequim Police responded to the 100 block of West Spruce Street on a domestic disturbance call involving two males, one of whom allegedly was armed with a hammer. After arriving on the scene, officers found Hoffman, who reportedly was visually distraught over a cat. Officers asked Hoffman to stay with them, at which time he became aggressive – pushing out his chest, yelling profanities at them, according to the report. Due to the aggressive actions, officers detained Hoffman. The report indicated Hoffman believed someone at the residence killed his cat and that he had been threatening that person’s life with a hammer. After arresting Hoffman, officers reported he became very aggressive, kicking the patrol car, jail cell doors and making threats toward the officer’s life.
Michele Urban – Urban, 38, of Sequim, was sentenced to $2,200 in fines and 30 days of confinement for the charge of possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony. The 30 days of confinement were converted into 240 hours of community service. On Feb. 9, Sequim Police performed a traffic stop and Urban was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and during a search incident to the arrest, officers found medication, Hydrocodone and Flexeril, which allegedly was claimed by Urban while at the scene.
Todd Thorsen – Thorsen, 41, of Sequim, entered into a diversion contract with the Clallam County Superior Court. If Thorsen is able to comply with the conditions of the contract, his charge of theft in the second degree eventually will be dropped. On Sept. 29, a Sequim Police officer was dispatched to Safeway due to a report of an employee theft. The grocery store’s loss prevention investigator told the officer that Thorsen had been using a coupon code to discount fuel sales at the Safeway gas pumps and then took money from the till.
