Storm King tops Revolution

The Storm King Lightning’s boys U-11 soccer team won their first North Puget Sound League game of the season, a 6-2 against the NSC Revolution in Snohomish on Sept. 6.

The Storm King Lightning’s boys U-11 soccer team won their first North Puget Sound League game of the season, a 6-2 against the NSC Revolution in Snohomish on Sept. 6.

Offensively, the team was led by forward Kobe Applegate who scored three goals and had an assist on another. Coaches credit center defender Brandon Wagner with a great game; he added an unassisted goal to the offense.

Center midfielder Kristian Mingoy also scored a goal and left midfielder Israel Gonzalez had three assists to round out the scoring with an unassisted goal. Goalkeeper Tyler Lawson contributed with a couple of key saves to seal the win.

The Lightening travel to Everett on Saturday, Sept. 13, to play the Mukilteo Rush at 11 am.
