Clallam County Superior Court

Nickolas Allen Kissler – Kissler, 23, Sequim, was charged Feb. 9 with one count each of possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. According to court records, Kissler allegedly was found in possession of prescription drugs following a Feb. 4 traffic stop in Sequim. Arraignment was set for Feb. 19.

Nathan Ruffcorn – Ruffcorn, Port Angeles, was charged Feb. 9 with one count each of delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver or manufacture marijuana and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). According to court records, Ruffcorn allegedly sold 5.1 grams of marijuana on Feb. 5 and then following a search of his car was found in possession of marijuana, heroin, plastic baggies and a digital scale. Arraignment was set for Feb. 19.

Bridget Brianna Ramsey – Ramsey, 28, Sequim, was charged Feb. 11 with one count of obtaining a controlled substance by forged or altered prescription. According to court records, Ramsey allegedly backdated her methadone prescription and forged her doctor’s signature for the change and then presented it at a Sequim pharmacy on Dec. 24, 2009. A summons was issued for Ramsey to appear in court on March 5.

Manuel John Luiz – Luiz, 49, Edgewood, was charged Feb. 11 with one count of possession of a stolen vehicle. According to court records, Luiz allegedly stole a Kenworth truck from Sumner, then crashed it into a telephone junction box on private property near U.S. Highway 101 and O’Brien Road on Feb. 10. Bail was set at $15,000 pending a Feb. 19 arraignment.

James Edward McCauley – McCauley, 60, Sequim, was found not guilty Feb. 10 of one count of hit and run injury accident. A second count of second-degree assault – deadly weapon was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it can’t be refiled. The case arose out of an Oct. 18, 2009, vehicle-pedestrian collision in Port Angeles.
