Two mainstays at The Cedars at Dungeness continued their streaks of greatness last week on the links.
Sid Krumpe and Pat Harrop-Schumacher won the men’s and women’s club championships with impressive scores.
Krumpe set the Men’s Club Championship record with a three day score of 199 (63, 66, 70) over Aug. 19, 21 and 23.
He beat out 74 other competitors in the tournament for his 17th championship since 1989.
“It feels good,” he said about the win. “It’s fun to play with everyone. Talk about three amazing days of weather.”
Harrop-Schumacher hit 91 and 81 on Aug. 13 and 20 for her 22nd women’s club win since 1986.
“It especially feels good to shoot an 81,” she said. “My game has been rusty.”
The Cedars at Dungeness is a par 72 18-hole course and both Krumpe, a groundskeeper, and Harrop-Schumacher, an administrative assistant, are employees at the course.
Other men’s winners included Tim Trosin (218) with the second overall low gross, Richard Koharian (194) first overall low net and Warren Cortez (198) with second overall low net.
