Doug McInnes and Bob Clark will talk about their memories of growing up in Sequim at the Clallam County Historical Society’s History Tales lecture series at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the First United Methodist and Congregational Church, 110 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles.

Parking and entry to the church’s social hall are on Laurel Street. This is the day to “fall back” an hour, so don’t forget to change your clocks!

McInnes was born in Sequim in 1929 — the stock market crash came soon after. The McInnes family came to the area in the 1860s. While McInnes spent some time away — he graduated from the University of Washington and worked for Boeing — he has spent much of his life in Sequim.

Clark is another Sequim native whose family came to Dungeness in the 1850s. He has spent his entire life here and is known for his deep involvement in the community.

As Sequim has been celebrating its 100th anniversary, this is a chance for you to hear some unwritten history of the town’s rich agricultural heritage.
