Sequim’s fourth-annual Back to School Fair is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.
The Sequim School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, Parenting Matters Foundation/First Teacher and other groups once again are collaborating to bring services and resources at no charge to Sequim families.
“This is a fun event that offers a host of resources and information for families and is all under one roof,” Parenting Matters program director Nicole Brewer said. “This will be our fourth fair, and happily, we’ve seen it grow in offerings over the years.”
The free event features fun family activities, food and other giveaways, interactive exhibits — including a fire truck, school bus and police car — plus backpacks and school supplies for families in need. Information on the school district, early childhood resources, health resources and more will be available.
Available services include haircuts, car seat checks, vision screening and more.
Organizers say school supplies and cash donations still are welcome through the event.
