Streamkeepers of Clallam County’s Road Department has welcomed a summer intern, Grace Little, to help with a variety of projects.

Little spent much of her childhood in Sequim and said she feels a deep attachment to the area. She will be entering her final year at Whitman College in Walla Walla, where she is majoring in English with a focus on communication.

Little pursued an internship with Streamkeepers because of her interest in the environment and commitment to the environmental well-being of the Olympic Peninsula.

Streamkeepers coordinator Ed Chadd will be supervising Little’s work in the field and office, where she will be working on various marketing, education and public outreach projects — much of it focused on Streamkeepers’ annual volunteer intake and training.
