Sequim Community Aid is under new leadership.
The community group selected new officers and will continue in its mission to help persons in need of rent and utilities assistance within the Sequim School District.
New officers are Jim Davis, president; Anne Notman, vice president; Kathy Fong, treasurer; and Linda Alexander, secretary, for the fiscal year ending on Aug. 31, 2017.
Sequim Community Aid is on hiatus, officers said, as the organization is in the process of re-organization, recruiting new members and planning the group’s annual “Toys for Sequim Kids” event in December.
“We expect to be fully up and running by Nov. 1,” Sequim Community Aid officials said in a press release.
The nonprofit, all-volunteer agency receives donations and grants in order to interview people in need of help with electricity, housing rent/mortgage and/or water during an emergency.
