JeffCo ‘Glow’ run set for Oct. 29

Friends of Jefferson County Parks and Recreation host the “Glow in the Dark” 1-mile and 5k run/walk, set for Saturday, Oct. 29, at Troll Haven/Bandy Farms in Gardiner, 950 Gardiner Beach Road.

Registration begins at 4 p.m., with a costume contest set for 6 p.m. and races starting at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $15 for the 1-mile race and $25 for the 5k.

Basketball league forming in PA

The Port Angeles Parks and Recreation men’s basketball league, open to men 18 years and older, starts Nov. 6. Deadline for team registrations is Oct. 23.

Cost is $40 per team plus a player fee ($28 for City of Port Angeles residents, $42 for non-residents). Players without a team may sign up to be put on a “free agent” list. Games are at Roosevelt Middle School, 106 Monroe Road, Port Angeles.
