Library’s Own Juggling Act

Juggler plays at Sequim and Port Angeles libraries on July 21.

The 2015 Summer Reading Program at the North Olympic Library System continues this July with two special performances from popular juggler Rhys Thomas. The Portland, Ore.-based artist whose shows combine science, comedy and circus arts performs at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., followed by a 2 p.m. performance at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Thomas has opened for performers such as the Smothers Brothers, Weird Al Yankovich and James Taylor. He has performed as an artist-in-resident at the Smithsonian and entertained at NBA halftime.

The Summer Reading Program takes place at all NOLS libraries until Saturday, Aug. 1, and provides educational, cultural and incentive-based programs to encourage children to continue reading and learning during their summer vacations.
