Richard E. Cooney, age 81, loving husband and father, passed away at home on Sunday, August 9, 2015 after a

courageous battle with cancer.

Dick was born and raised in Ohio. He went on to serve honorably in the

U.S. Airforce from 1954 to 1957. Dick retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation in Denver, Colorado, after 33 years of service. He then spent his retirement years in Boulder City, Nevada, and Payson, Arizona before moving to Sequim, Washington for the last 10 years of his life.

Dick was an avid golfer for many years and later en-

joyed playing Bingo.

Dick was the father of three adoring children and the

grandfather of 5 grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Mary

Cooney; three children in Bakersfield California including daughters Deborah (Bhupinder) Singh, Lori Cleveland; and son Rick Cooney; five granddaughters, Charmaine, Kelsey, Aubrey, Kenna and Courtney.

Per Dick’s request a private memorial will be held at a later date. Final cremation has taken place.
