Arthur William Halls
September 9, 1921 – February 6, 2016
Arthur William Halls was born on September 9, 1921. On February 6, 2016 he was called home to the Lord at the age of 94. He was surrounded by his loving family at his home in Sequim, Washington.
Artie was born in Evergreen, Colorado to Louise Grabbe and Arthur W. Halls Sr.; he grew up in
Colorado, Montana, Seattle and Alaska.
He married Lucetta Irene Rice in 1945 and fathered 7
amazing children. He was married 54 years to Lucetta, until her death in 1999. He was married to Esther Luce from 2001 until her death in 2013.
He was predeceased by his sons Arthur Gregory Halls and Jeffery Gerard Halls, as well as his grandson Derek Andrew Crawford.
He is survived by his daughters Pamela L. Vass, Deborah J. Crawford, Stephanie J. Ream, Sister Sharon OCD, and Tina (Kristine) M. Johnson. He is also survived by his 10 wonderful grandchildren and his exceptional great grandchildren too numerous to name.
Artie was a talented artist and writer, maintenance man beyond compare with an amazing work ethic! Artie received the Rotary Foundation’s Paul Harris Fellow Award.
He worked in the shipyards in Seattle as a young man, owned a car business with his wife Lucetta, and ultimately owned HAASCO Inc Heating and Air Conditioning in Denver, Colorado, where he raised his children.
Lucetta and Artie retired to Sequim, Washington in 1982 where they led a Catholic healing and prayer ministry. Art was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of WWCCR (Western Washington Catholic Charismatic Renewal) and a devoted Catholic.
Art’s prayers and devotion to God changed many lives including his own. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He will always be in our hearts.
Funeral Mass and Rosary will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 121 W. Maple St. Sequim, on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M.
