Kudos to group for Retsil donations

Many thanks to Carl and Kathy, Ted and Pam, Jake and Dee for donating gifts for the Retsil Christmas Shop.

I just spent four days at the Veterans Home helping the residents shop for gifts for their families. They also wrote cards. We wrapped and then boxed for shipping. I received many thank-yous from the staff and residents. A lot of work but very rewarding.

Please think of getting some gifts at the after-Christmas sales — jewelry, watches, appliances, games!

I want to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas! In January I will start my 10th year of writing this column. I thank all of you for the support you have given to the veterans and their families here in Clallam County through the years. Please remember a “thank you for your service” is a wonderful gift — and it costs no money! Thank you all. Happy New Year!
