A school serving some of Sequim’s youngest students hit the big stage in February.
Greywolf Elementary School was one of 54 in the nation named a 2016 National Title I Distinguished School. Schools earn the honor either for exceptional student performance overall, for significantly closing the achievement gap between student groups or for excellence in serving special populations of students.
A project of the National Title I Association, the National Title I Distinguished Schools Program publicly recognizes qualifying Title I schools for the outstanding academic achievements of their students.
Schools were honored Feb. 22 at the 2017 National Title I Conference in Long Beach, Calif.
