Jeanette Stehr-Green, a Washington State University certified Master Gardener, will help gardeners identify methods to diagnose common plant problems in gardens and on houseplants at noon Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

She will provide methods to figure out the possible causes and resources for addressing diagnosed problems including living causes of plant problems, such as fungal and bacterial infections and insect damage, and nonliving causes such as environmental exposures, chemicals and care.

Stehr-Green managed the Port Angeles plant clinic in 2004-2005 and as county plant clinic chairman from 2006-2007, she helped expand clinic resources, references and written procedures. She has written numerous articles on gardening and regularly appears on the KONP Todd Ortloff and other gardening shows.

This program is part of the “Green Thumbs Garden Tips” brown bag series sponsored by the WSU Clallam County Master Gardeners. For questions, call 417-2279.
