Naomi Marie Fosket and Lt. Christopher Thomas Ihlan were married in a military ceremony in Bellingham on Aug. 5.
A grand reception followed with a mashed potato bar, doughnut cake and a lot of dancing.
The couple arrived and left in a 1951 Cadillac owned by the groom’s grandfather.
The bride is the daughter of Vernon and Lynn Fosket of Sequim. She is a 2007 graduate of Sequim High School and a 2011 graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in music education.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Susan Ihlan of Bellingham. He is a 2007 graduate of Squalicum High School in Bellingham and a 2011 graduate of Annapolis Naval Academy with a degree in systems engineering.
The couple will make their home in Anacortes. He is a naval aviator at Naval Air Station Whidbey. She will be starting a new teaching job this fall at Evergreen Elementary in Sedro-Woolley.
