Bell Creek Bar closes earlier this month

Earlier this month, the Bell Creek Bar & Grill at 707 E. Washington St. closed.

Moderators for the business’ Facebook page changed its status to closed on Dec. 7, and a note was left in the window, reading: “It is with deepest regrets that we have to inform you that we have to close our doors to unforeseen circumstances. We love you all and we thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for all the support and love you have given us during this venture and times …

“We are truly sorry that this has happened as we know it affects more than just us. Thank you all so much. We never would have made it this far with out everyone of you. Thank you.”

Bell Creek Bar & Grill served breakfast, lunch and dinner through its tenure and the business is part of a long history in Sequim.

Former owner Min Chan continued operating the Chinese Gardens on South Seventh Avenue that her in-laws’ family operated for more than 30 years.

In June 2014, she switched the business to Seventh Avenue Steakhouse and less than a year later the business moved to East Washington Street at the Mariner Cafe’s former spot and renamed it Bell Creek Bar & Grill.

Customers recall it opening there on one of the weekends of Sequim Irrigation Festival.

When Chan sold the business isn’t exactly known, but the Department of Revenue has James Inman listed as owner/entity name with permitting under his name beginning in Dec. 1, 2016.
