Palm Sunday Parade

The 18th Palm Sunday Jesus Parade begins at 3 p.m. April 5 at Townsite Plaza, across from the ferry dock in Port Townsend.

Entries that will help commemorate Jesus’s walk into Jerusalem and announce his return to Earth in the future are invited.

Banners with Bible passages depicting famous

quotes of Jesus and his

followers are encouraged.

Music is played from a flatbed truck while participants carry palms, balloons and signs to celebrate the occasion.

Refreshments follow the short parade at Adams Street Park.

The public is invited to arrive at 2 p.m.

Easter egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt, games, crafts, music and refreshments are included in "Let’s Get Ready for Easter," a program for children from 10-11:30 a.m. April 4 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.

Toddlers through fifth-graders are invited.

The event uses candy-filled eggs placed on the church lawn. Call 683-5367.

Services at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

• Palm Sunday services on April 5 include Eucharist at 8 a.m. and choral Eucharist at 10 a.m.

• Maundy Thursday services include a sermon and Eucharist, with a foot washing service at 6 p.m. April 9. A vigil follows until 8 a.m. April 10.

• Good Friday services include stations of the cross at

8 a.m. and Good Friday liturgy at noon April 10.

• Easter services will be choral Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. April 12

Unity hosts sacred meditation healing

Unity in the Olympics, 2917 E. Myrtle St., Sequim, hosts a sacred meditation healing April 8.

One-hour slots are available at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sessions include gentle touch or near touch of one’s energy centers in a loving, devotional setting.

The intent is to amplify the natural energies of the mind/body and facilitate greater balance and wholeness.
