Father's day dance, royalty at library and more in A&E briefs

Father’s Day dance at Sequim grange

Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, hosts a Father’s Day Dance from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21.

The Buck Ellard Band will be performing and food will be provided. For a special treat there will be a chocolate fountain.

Cost is $10 per person or $15 a couple.

Artist weekend in P.T.

The weekend of June 20-21 the public is invited to come by the studio of master sculptor Arliss Newcomb at 11968 Airport Cutoff Road, four miles south of Port Townsend.

The two-day event also will feature metal sculpture by Ray Hammer, as well as framed art and jewelry by Carol Heath Stabile.

Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. Note only cash or checks can be accepted at the event.

Meet royalty at library

Calling all princesses! The Sequim Library will offer a special Princess Storytime featuring Sequim Irrigation Festival royalty at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25.

Royal attire is encouraged for this special storytime featuring songs, stories, and a craft.

Bring your camera to capture one-on-one photos with the princesses.

This event may be held at the outdoor stage behind the library, weather permitting.

Fourth Friday reading is set in Sequim

The next Fourth Friday Reading is at 6:30 p.m. June 26 at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way in Sequim. It features Port Townsend writer and instructor Anna Quinn.

Writers may sign up for five-minute open mic readings that follow the featured speaker.
