Sequim Arts offers scholarships each year to students interested in pursuing a career in art, fine arts, art education or commercial art. Scholarship range from $500-$1,000. Scholarships must be used within one year of the award.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must be residents of Clallam County. The scholarship award is predicated on the student’s application and acceptance at a college for a minimum of 12 credits per term, with at least five of those course credits in art or in an art school. Students need to provide a portfolio to Sequim Arts by June 1.
Those portfolios must contain the following: a photo of the applicant; a cover letter; a resume of the student’s achievements, community involvement in the arts and a written statement of goals (short- and long-term); letters of recommendation and examples of student’s art work.
