Soroptimist International of Sequim recently named Sequim High School students Emily Bundy, left, and Allison Van de Wege as the group’s November and December Girls of the Month.
Bundy is “a focused young adult with aspirations of becoming a pediatric surgeon,” Soroptimists say. She is a member of Honor Society, the SHS student body president, serves as a student liaison for several community boards and actively volunteers in the community. She has narrowed her choice of colleges to three possibilities and plans to major in anatomy and physiology.
Van de Wege has been involved in student government since 2015, a student representative for Clallam County for the League of Women Voters, volunteers at the Sequim Food Bank and teaches dance at Aspire Academy. She will attend Western Washington University in the fall and major in environmental education.
