Robb-Kahler joins Sound Community Bank
Sound Community Bank welcomes Shelli Robb-Kahler as vice president, Olympic Peninsula Hub branch manager. Robb-Kahler manages the Sequim, Port Ludlow and future Sequim Creekside (currently a loan production office) branches.
The former executive director of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, Robb-Kahler brings 30-plus years banking experience in roles spanning from teller to executive bank management.
Robb-Kahler served on not-for-profit boards including the Clallam County YMCA and the Sequim Irrigation Festival, and acted as a mentor to the business-education department at Sequim High School.
“After eight fantastic years as the executive director of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, I am thrilled to return to banking,” Robb-Kahler said. “I look forward to meeting all the wonderful clients and future Sound Community Bank clients, too.”
She is married to Marty Kahler and is mother to two grown sons, Brady Robb and Colin Kahler.
First Federal welcomes new director
First Federal Community Foundation announces that Jan Simon is joining the nonprofit organization as its new executive director. Simon succeeds Karen McCormick, who is retiring from the leadership role and will remain on the foundation’s board of directors.
Simon brings more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit organizations. In her more recent roles, Simon served over 15 years as President and CEO of the Washington Lodging Association, and most recently served as the executive director of Seattle’s Center for Spiritual Living. She has been involved in civic and community organizations including Seattle Rotary and the Ballard Ecumenical Homeless Ministry.
