Once again, two Helen Haller Elementary students earned some unique rides home for their contributions to the school’s Turkey Trot.
Fourth-grader Maci Evans and kindergartner Maddy Minard rode home in a 7 Cedars Casino limousine and a Clallam County Fire District 3 fire truck on Feb. 24 and 28.
The girls raised the most in their grade levels K-2 and 3-5 for the Turkey Trot in November 2019.
Students raised more than $18,000 to support the school’s Six Books for Summer program by running, jogging or walking for 30 minutes at the event.
Evans and Minard said it was their first time in a limousine or fire truck. Evans brought seven of her friends in the limo while Minard rode with her mom in the fire truck.
