Susan Kay Celli
August 3, 1950 – January 11, 2021
Susan Kay Celli was born on August 3, 1950 in Gilroy, California. She passed into the arms of Jesus on January 11, 2021 at her home in Sequim, Washington.
She is survived by sons, Antonio J. Celli (wife Kim) and Toby J. Celli (ex-wife Jessica Moberly). Sue claimed eight kids as her grandchildren: granddaughters Jasmine Celli, Kieran Celli, Sophia Newton, Jubilee Moore and Salome Moore; grandsons Blake Jenkins, Owen Moberly and Cole Newton. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Williams, niece Alix Williams and nephew Kevin Williams, (wife Anne), and her mother, Mildred Pitts. She was preceded in death by her father, James Dwight Pitts.
Sue loved her boys and conscientiously was the best mother she knew how to be. She taught her boys to be self-reliant and polite. When they were young, Sue was actively involved in their soccer league.
Sue’s favorite job was church secretary. She loved the combination of secretarial work and ministry and served in this capacity for about 10 years. She also worked for the State of California for about 20 years, ending her state service with the Seismic Safety Commission.
She retired in the summer of 2016 and moved to Sequim where she immediately became active in Bible study small groups and in the music ministry at Sequim Community Church. She also served on the technical side of worship ministry, and started the Prayer Shawl ministry.
Sue was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
