Sequim’s volleyball squad saw a six-win improvement over last year’s team and saw a half-dozen players — five seniors and a sophomore — earn postseason kudos for their efforts.
Senior setter Kalli Wiker and senior outside hitter Amanda Weller joined soph Kendall Hastings on the all-league first team squad for Sequim (10-3).
Wiker led the Wolves with 300 assists and was second in the team in serving percentage (.945) and 38 aces.
Weller had a team-high 47 aces and wwas third on the team in kills (52).
Kendall Hastings led the team in kills (163) and blocks (29).
Earning spots on the all-Olympic League second team were seniors Jessica Asselin, a defensive specialist, McKenna Hastings, and outside hitter, and middle hitter Jayla Julmist.
Asselin had 59 digs and added four aces from her libero position.
McKenna Hastings led the team with a .979 serving percentage and didn’t miss a serve in her final seven games. She also had 101 digs, second on the team.
Julmist had 56 kills and 11 blocks, both second on the team, playing in a little more than half the season (seven of 13 games).
