City seeking volunteers

The City of Sequim is looking for a volunteer to serve as the coordinator for the Community Volunteer programs.

The City of Sequim is looking for a volunteer to serve as the coordinator for the Community Volunteer programs.

The volunteer coordinator, under the direction of the city clerk, will develop and manage the City of Sequim Volunteer Program and market the program to increase public awareness of the volunteer opportunities.

The city has a robust volunteer program involving community members who help to maintain many areas of the city, serve with the police department through the Volunteers in Police Service program and serve on the city’s boards, commissions and committees.

The city also is seeking volunteers to serve as the concierge in the Sequim Civic Center. Volunteers greet visitors to the facility and help direct them to the department that can best serve them.

The volunteer concierge also assists in providing tourism-related information about Sequim and the surrounding Dungeness Valley to visitors and may provide some assistance to city departments.
