For the safety of the community and the safety of county staff, the Clallam County Courthouse — with the exception of the courts — will be closed to the public and staff on Thursday, Jan. 6, and Friday, Jan. 7, because of the rise in COVID-19 illnesses, county officials said this week.
During this closure, the courthouse will undergo deep cleaning/sanitation, they said.
District Court will continue with normal operation while Superior Court will be on limited operation.
“During the current COVID situation, Clallam County needs to put in place precautionary measures to reduce the risk of further local transmission of COVID,” county officials said in a press release on Jan. 5. “We urge you to take all necessary steps to stay healthy and follow guidelines outlined by the local Health Officer.”
