Local winery wins award

Camaraderie Cellars has been awarded the WA State Wine “Heritage Award” for 2022.

In recognition of 30-plus vintages and consistently crafting wines with excellence, accolades and appeal, Camaraderie Cellars was selected for their commitment to elevating and celebrating Washington state wine. The selection was made by the Washington State Wine Awards competition recognizing the best in PNW wine.

Camaraderie Cellars will celebrate their 30th anniversary in August 2022. The winery has won more than 450 medals and many Platinum, Double Gold and Gold in recent years, the business noted in a press release.

The winery, which is also part of The Tasting Room on Post Alley near Pike Street Market in Seattle, welcomes guests to garden and patio settings for wine tastings on weekends at 334 Benson Road in Port Angeles.

Owners Don and Vicki Corson, along with partners Gene and Mary Ann Unger are the core of the operation, with Don Corson the winemaker and Amy Harksell the assistant winemaker.
