Soroptimist International of Sequim recently announced the recipients of their 2022 Continuing Education Scholarships.

This year the scholarship committee had a $10,000 budget. This included funding for two $1,000 awards donated anonymously through the Olympic View Community Foundation.

In 2021, the group awarded continuing education scholarships to nine women and this year the organization funded for the second year, funding based on need and their success to five women who were 2021 recipients.

In addition, first-year continuing education funds were awarded to four women.

Awards went to Yang Zhang ($2,000), Corenna Messinger ($2,000), Kaelyn Davila ($2,000) and Megan Bland ($1,000).

Second-year awards went to Rylie Booth ($1,000), Brianna Cowan ($1,000), Arianna Flores-Cisneros ($1,000), Kianna Miller ($1,000) and Nathalie Torres ($1,000).
