Crews from Clallam County Fire District 3 (Sequim) extinguished a recreational vehicle fire in the early afternoon on Monday, May 15.
The PenCom dispatch center received a radio report from a Washington State Patrol Trooper that a mobile home was on fire, and the first arriving crew reported a working fire of an RV with access issues, fire district officials report.
Crews pulled a hose line and lobbed water onto the fire while they were able to forcibly remove a locked gate. Firefighters then controlled the fire within minutes, protecting a passenger vehicle and several exposure buildings nearby.
Crews then overhauled and completed a search of the area. The owner of the property confirmed no one was living in the recreational vehicle; no one was hurt during this incident.
From the fire district, eight units and 17 staffers responded to the scene. PUD crews also arrived and secured power as powerlines were involved from above.
