A Port Angeles woman was injured and Sequim man has been charged with hit-and-run and a felony DUI after a two-car collision on June 20 near Taylor Cutoff Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Noah S. Schroeder, 39, of Sequim, was driving a 1991 Honda Accord southbound on Gilbert Road and attempted to make a left turn eastbound onto U.S. Highway 101 when his vehicle struck a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Port Angeles resident Tina L. Lewis, 43.
Lewis was injured and transported from the scene to Olympic Medical Center, according to the state patrol.
Schroeder fled from the scene but was later apprehended and taken into custody, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Schroeder was charged with failure to yield and a felony hit-and-run/DUI, according to the state patrol.
