Olympic Medical Center to talk finances at public forum series

Olympic Medical Center will share information on its plan for financial recovery at three public forums next week in Sequim, Port Angeles and via the web.

At the board of commissioners’ Aug. 16 meeting, CFO Lorraine Cannon reported that OMC had lost $17.483 million in the first seven months of the year.

According to its application for a distressed hospital grant from the Washington State Health Care Authority submitted in June, OMC had a net operating loss of $17.698 million for all of 2022.

• Sequim forum: 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in the upper level conference room at the Medical Services Building and Walk-In Clinic, 840 N. Fifth Ave.

• Port Angeles forum: 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
