The results of a telephone survey about possible capital improvement projects — and how to pay for them — are up for discussion at the next Sequim School District Board of Directors meeting, set for 5:30 p.m. at the Clallam Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St..

The board hosts a workshop at the time with a representative from CFW Advisory Services LLC presenting results of the recently completed survey.

A regular board meeting follows at 6:30 p.m. Time will be set aside during the regular meeting for public comment, district officials said.

In April, board directors voted 3-1 to approve a $15,500 contact with CFW Advisory Services LLC to conduct a random sample telephone survey.

The district has seen four failed school construction bond attempts in the past two years. After a $154 million construction bond proposal failed in April 2014, the school district has run three more proposals: a $49.2 million bond plan in February 2015, a $49.3 million plan in November 2015 and a $54 million bond proposal in February 2016. Each of the three recent proposals gained at least 57 percent of the overall vote but fell short of the 60 percent super majority required for passage.

Anticipating a large turnout to learn about the survey results, the district has shifted the July 18 meeting site to the transit center, rather than the district boardroom.
