“Moments of Life” a photo exhibition featuring the work of Phil Tauran, is on display at Sequim Museum & Arts, 544 N. Sequim Ave., from April 1-27.
Tauran, a photographer born in France, has been based in Sequim since 2011. He describes these photos as a retrospective of his work as an artist in search of creativity and light. The study includes photos spanning more than 10 years that include his latest creations.
Interested in the magic of black and white, Tauran developed his fascination for landscapes with a focus on trees and street photography.
“Everything I photograph, I do it in the moment, and these moments are precious to me because they are impossible to reproduce,” Tauran said. “You only have one chance. As a photographer you must be ready: your mind, your soul, and of course your eyes, must work in harmony. This is the secret of all artistic creations.”
Sequim Museum and Arts is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and 5-8 p.m. during the First Friday Art Walk Sequim on April 5. For more information, call 360-681-2257.
