The Sequim Library is open at its temporary location, 609 W. Washington St., near the former JCPenney store. It will be the library’s home for the next year and marks the beginning of the construction phase for the expansion and renovation project at its permanent location.
The temporary location offers the same services previously available: browsing and checkouts, public computers, printing, faxing, newspapers, magazines, WiFi, seating and programs for all ages. Open hours also remain the same: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays, and 9 am.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.
Staff are excited to welcome the community back to the library after the three-week closure in March while we moved into the new space.
As you plan your next visit, consider attending one of the upcoming programs in April. They are free and available to all community members.

In this Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau talk, author Harriet Baskas explores a wide range of hidden objects found in the back rooms of museums in our state and around the country. Examples include a Spokane institution that holds Bing Crosby’s toupées and a museum in Lynden that’s home to a 150-year-old pickle.
