The Sequim baseball team won its third straight, riding a nine-run third inning to crush Mount Tahoma on Friday 15-4.
With the victory, the Wolves evened their season record to 4-4.
Several Sequim players had big games as the Wolves pounded out 14 hits. Ethan Staples was 3-for-5 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored. Brayden White hit a triple, drove in three runs, scored two runs and got on base two other times after being hit by pitches.
Ayden Holland had a double, three runs scored, an RBI and got on base twice on walks. Zeke Schmadeke was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Lincoln Bear was 2-for-4 with an RBI and and Logan Doyle was 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Five Sequim pitchers each pitched one inning, allowing just two hits while striking out six. Lincoln Bear was awarded the victory. Schmadeke, Brayden White and Staples all pitched scoreless innings.
Sequim was scheduled to play at Port Angeles on April 9; results were not available at press time. Sequim hosts the Roughriders on April 11.
The Wolves then play a pair of non-league games — at Ingraham on April 13 and at home against Crosspoint Academy on April 15 — before jumping back into Olympic League play on April 16 at Bremerton.
