Army Pvt. John E. Douglas recently graduated from U.S. Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Douglas is the son of Michael Douglas of Sequim, brother of Moriah D’Souza of Prather, Calif., and grandson of Beverley Tait of Sequim. He is a 2013 graduate of Sierra High School, Tollhouse, Calif.
