The Sequim Gazette welcomes Elijah Sussman, a longtime resident of the Olympic Peninsula, to its reporting staff.

Sussman earned a philosophy degree from Western Washington University and is also a musician and audio engineer. He said he “values curiosity and exploring diverse perspectives.”

Sussman will cover general news, features and the arts for the Gazette.

He enjoys spending time outdoors, whether by water or in the mountains.

His strong interest in arts and culture aligns with his passion for narrative and language, and he looks forward to sharing the stories of his local Sequim community.
