Hardy’s to aid veterans

Hardy’s Market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway, hosts a Fourth of July barbecue event with a patriotic flair. Proceeds from the market’s $3 hamburgers, $2 ice cream servings and $2 hot dogs that day go to aid disabled veterans via Carlsborg VFW Post 6787. The event runs from 11 a.m. until the food runs out. Anytime Fitness offers tai chi this summer

Anytime Fitness and Michele Beiri, tai chi instructor, offer beginning and advanced tai chi this summer in the group training studio at Rock Plaza, at the corner of Old Olympic Highway and Sequim-Dungeness Way in Sequim. Short stack special marks IHOP anniversary

KWA hiring event set

The nonprofit social service agency KWA sponsors a hiring event for caregivers from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Hands-on demos show what a day in the life of a caregiver looks like. Participants can fill out applications and have informal interviews: Bring three references (at least one employer), a job history, a Washington State driver’s license and proof of car insurance. Soluna Wellness, Massage opens

Soluna Wellness and Massage, 319½ W. Bell St., Sequim, hosts a grand opening the week of July 8-14, with a ribbon cutting at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 8. Owner Dana Ford, LMP, offers a range of massage therapies — including craniosacral therapy, lymphatic massage and Reiki — along with wellness coaching and other services. Ford also keeps two appointments open each week to offer free massage for cancer patients.

Soluna hours are by appointment 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday with early and late appointments available.

Perry joins staff at SARC

Adam Perry joins the staff at the Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center.

Perry offers new classes in July, including Athletic Development (ages 13-18, M-W-F, 4:10-5:30 p.m.), Fit Kids (ages 8-12, M-W-F, 3:15-4 p.m.) and Functional Fitness (adults, M-W-F, 6-7 p.m.).

Perry is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and StrongFirst Kettlebell Course participant.
