Travelers who use Marine Drive in Port Angeles will want to take note of upcoming night lane closures this week, state transportation officials said.
On Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6, travelers will see one-way alternating traffic at two different work zones. Signed detours will be provided.
8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6 to 6 a.m. each following morning:
• Eastbound Marine Drive will be closed between West Second Street and South Valley Street.
• Single-lane closures on Marine Drive and West Front Street between North Oak Street and South Valley Street.
10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6 to 5 a.m. each following morning
• One-way alternating traffic on Marine Drive at the intersection of Marine Drive and Tumwater Truck Route (State Route 117).
• No access from Marine Drive to Tumwater Truck Route.
During this time, the contractor will pave sections of the road. The work is related to an upcoming fish barrier removal project at Tumwater Creek.
