Learn the basics of sound healing at a special event set for noon-1:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Blue Mountain Yoga+, 803 Carlsborg Road, Suite D.
Participants will learn how to play, purchase and incorporate crystal bowls and other soundscape instruments into personal practices as healing for clients. They are encouraged to “explore using the power of your own breath as medicine,” organizers say.
Cost is $33 at the door; fee includes a 45-minute crystal bowl sound bath.

‘Transformative’ methods part of monthly workshops
Heather Sky and Sophia Engkvist invite community members to join them in a series of “transformative” sessions integrating the power of meditation, breath work and sound healing to help access “a multitude of physiological and psychological benefits.”
The Magic of Breath + Sound is a two-hour event consisting of a short meditation, 45 minutes of breath work, 30 minutes of sound therapy, and a sharing circle to process and integrate at the end of the session.
Remaining sessions are slated for 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Sundays: Sept. 22, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 22, at Blue Mountain Yoga+, 803 Carlsborg Road, Suite D.
