In their third consecutive match decided by one point to open the season, Sequim’s Wolves finally tasted defeat, thanks to the visiting Olympic Trojans.

Olympic won three of four doubles matches along with top singles player Jonah Pantig’s straight-set win over SHS ace Jack Crecelius to topple Sequim 4-3 on Sept. 19.

The Wolves got a comeback win from Lincoln Bear (4-6, 6-0, 6-4) over Trojan Cam Guess at No. 2 singles and a straight set win from No. 3 singles player Mason Rapelje over Olympic’s Zach Mercer (6-1, 6-4).

Sequim also picked up up point when No. 3 doubles teammates Lucas Enges and Joshua Loucks survived a three-set thriller (6-2, 3-6,6-4) over Olympic’s Same Lewis and Spencer Samson.

Sequim (2-2)dropped a 5-2 decision at Bainbridge in Sept. 20; individual results were not immediately available.

The Wolves were scheduled to play at Port Angeles on Sept. 23; results were not available at press time.

The Wolves host Bremerton on Sept. 26. Sequim is at Kingston on Oct. 1 and at North Mason on Oct. 3 before hosting Bainbridge on Oct. 7.
