Audiences are invited to step into a world “where love is as enchanting as the northern lights.”

The Port Angeles Community Players (PACP) bring “Almost, Maine” — a play described as “charming and whimsical” — to their stage this month.

Performances of the John Cariani play are set for 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Tuesdays and 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays, Sept. 27-Oct. 12, on the PACP Playhouse main stage, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The doors and bar open 30 minutes before curtain time.

Set in a remote, mythical town in northern Maine, “Almost, Maine” weaves together a series of charming vignettes, each exploring the joys and challenges of falling in and out of love.

Co-directors Barbara Frederick and Ken Winters have teamed up to bring this production to life.

“Exploring the twists and turns of relationships through humorous and sometimes dramatic stories this show will delight audiences young and old,” Winters said.

The cast is an ensemble of local actors, some familiar and some new, with ages ranging from teens to 60s.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students.

On Tuesday nights, any remaining tickets are $9 at the door.
