Gathering for ‘Prayers for Peace’
All are welcome to share in an open community gathering of “Prayers for Peace” from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in the Raymond Carver Room at Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. Sponsored by the Bahá’is of Sequim and Port Angeles, light refreshments will be offered (no donations accepted).
People of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs are encouraged to share their own prayers, choose from a diverse selection provided or participate silently. This gathering is in support of the United Nations International Day of Peace, commemorated annually on Sept. 21. The theme for 2024 is “Cultivating a Culture of Peace with more information at un.org/en/observances/international-day-peace.
