General Election ballots mailed to registered voters

Clallam County Elections Office staff report that General Election ballots were mailed on Oct. 18 to all active registered voters in Clallam County. Ballots are anticipated to be coming to mailboxes through this week.

Registered voters who do not receive a ballot packet by Friday, Oct. 25 should call 360-417-2221 or visit the Elections and Voter Registration Office at 223 E. Fourth St., Room 042, in the Clallam County Courthouse in Port Angeles, for a replacement. Staff report voters can securely access a replacement ballot by logging into votewa.gov.

Military and overseas voters’ ballots were mailed on Sept. 20, staff report.

Ballots can be returned at official ballot drop boxes or by mail, with no stamp needed.

Ballots must be deposited in an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. or postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 5.

If mailed, the USPS recommends that you mail a week before Election Day.

Elections staff recommend that voters returning their ballot less than a week before Election Day are encouraged to use an official ballot drop box.

There are nine drop boxes throughout Clallam County, including in Carlsborg at 261461 U.S. Hwy 101 near Sunny Farms and Mill Road, and in Sequim in the parking lot at 651 W. Washington St., by the temporary Sequim Library.
