Radio forum to take on ‘Diabetes Issues’

Registered nurse Susan Sorensen will help listeners tackle “Diabetes Issues” at the next free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum, set for 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, on KSQM 91.5 FM.

During her presentation, Sorensen will help listeners better understand diabetes and will how to use five different aspects of a great diabetes program to simplify the management of diabetes for a healthier life.

Sorensen earned a degree in nursing from Lutheran Medical Center of Nursing, a bachelors in nursing from the Medical College of Virginia, and a masters degree in human resource development from Webster University. She retired from the United States Air Force in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic, which provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Their work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
